Continuing Medical Education

The American Headache Society is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Comtinuing Medical Education (ACCME) to sponsor continuing medical education for physicians. The American Headache Society takes responsibility for the content, quality and scientific integrity of this CME activity.

AMA
The American Headache Society designates AMA PRA Category 1 credits TM for the medical education activity of the 50th Annual Scientific Meeting, as follows: a maximum of 4 credits for the Headache Medicine Subspecialty Examination Review Course; a maximum of 3.5 credits each for the pre-courses offered by the Temporomandibular Disorders, Cervical Spine and Orofacial Pain Section, the Pediatric-Adolescent Headache Section and the Methodology, Design and Statistical Issues Section; and a maximum of 19.75 credits for the general program. Each physician should claim only those credits that he/she actually spent in the activity.

APA
The American Headache Society is approved by the American Psychological Association (APA) to offer continuing education for psychologists. AHS maintains responsibility for this program and its content. The 50th Annual Scientific Meeting fulfills requirements for CE credit in the amounts of: a maximum of 4 credits for the Headache Medicine Subspecialty Examination Review Course; a maximum of 3.5 credits each for the pre-courses offered by the Temporomandibular Disorders, Cervical Spine and Orofacial Pain Section, the Pediatric-Adolescent Headache Section and the Methodology, Design and Statistical Issues Section; and a maximum of 19.5 credits for the general program.

AAPA
The American Academy of Physician Assistants accepts Category 1 credit from AOACCME, prescribed credit from AAFP, and AMA Category 1 credit for the PRA from organizations accredited by ACCME.
